The Many Flags That Flew Over
The Virgin Islands

A total of seven countries have occupied the Virgin Islands over the course of its existence. It is important to note that St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas were not always regarded as a single entity. St. Croix has changed hands the most times of the three as it was occupied much earlier. Flags come courtesy of the Flags of the World website. These are the flags that currently represents these countries and may differ from the actually flag that flew over the islands.
